 Way Truth Life Radio and Camp Kanesatake announce Leroy Straley, of Bellefonte, as Director of Ministries at CPCI. Mr. Straley has a passion for community leadership and service. He served as Professor of Education with Lock Haven University until retirement in 2001 which included several administrative responsibilities. In 1990 he served on the Board of Directors for the Bellefonte YMCA and since July of 2008, served on the Board of CPCI. He has been instrumental as a volunteer cabin counselor since 2002 and has been involved with the ministries of Centre Crest and the Centre County Correctional Facility

As we have announced, Leroy Straley has been named by the CPCI Board of Directors as our new Director of Ministries. We thought you would like to get to know Leroy better, so we sat down with him and asked a few questions:
You came to know the Lord later in life. Share with us how that happened.
We have a patient God. I was 55 years old, after hearing the gospel many times, I repented. By the Holy Spirit's enlightening and turning me from my way of doing and thinking to the only Way, I went to the cross of Christ with my sins and by faith received His righteousness. Jesus my Savior became my Lord and I joyfully walk with Him by faith.

 Each day our children are in a struggle. It’s a struggle for their heart. Like a stranger in a foreign land they are daily bombarded with messages that they must decipher. Those messages are coming from billboards, television, books, posters, and other people. These are messages telling them how to live, what to wear, what to eat, and what to buy.
That’s why an experience at Camp Kanesatake this summer is so important. The Bible tells us that Christians are not at home here on this earth. Our citizenship is in heaven and we are merely strangers passing through.

 In the wake of a devastating earthquake that hit the island nation of Haiti. According to news reports, the quake destroyed much of the capital city of Port-au-Prince. Millions have been effected and hundreds of thousands are feared dead. It's the worst earthquake to hit Haiti in 200 years.
Please be in prayer for all those effected. This is also the time for compassionate Christians to do all they can to help. Pray for the Gospel to advance in Haiti as never before.
